Michael Robinson Chávez is a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer, writer, and educator known for his extensive international work and deep engagement with Peru, his mother’s homeland. A former staff photographer for The Washington Post, with earlier roles at The Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, and the Associated Press, he has reported from more than 75 countries, covering conflicts, social issues, and environmental change.
Based in Valencia, Spain, Robinson Chávez lectures widely, teaches international workshops, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Social Documentary Network.
