She has received many distinctions and awards, which include the Lagardere Foundation Grant, World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass 2000, Honfleur Festival Award 2002, AFFA Grant 2002, Getty Grant for Editorial Photography 2006, and the Canon/AFJ Award of Visa pour l’Image International Festival of Photojournalism in 2012. She was nominated for the Visa d’Or Magazine at the Festival Visa pour l’Image in 2015, and was awarded by the Jury of Days Japan International Photojournalism in 2017.

She is an Explorer in the Canon Ambassadors Programme. She is represented by Hegoa Gallery Paris, and her photographs have been acquired by French collections including the National Contemporary Arts Museum Paris and the Museum of History and Immigration Paris. She has held solo exhibitions in France, Spain, the Netherlands, Moscow, Canada, Rio de Janeiro, New York, Tokyo and Kyoto, amongst others.

She has also published four books: Odyssée Moderne, Editions Image en Manœuvres (2004); Pakistan – Land of the pure, Editions Image en Manœuvres (2010); Pakistan à vif, Editions JC Gawsewitch (2010); Movida Massala Editions (2014); and Le Pays des purs ed.Boite à Bulle Paris (2017).
