Julieta Escardó

Julieta Escardó is a photographer, editor and educator. 

She is co-director of the publishing house La Luminosa and editor at Sueño de La Razón, a South American photography magazine. In 2016, she founded TURMA, a platform for education and the dissemination of Latin American photography and photo books. In 2002 she founded FELIFA, the largest photo book fair in the region. With successful 18 editions in Buenos Aires and 16 over other countries, FELIFA continues to expand. 

Additionally, Julieta works in editorial projects for various institutions and teaches at the Universidad de las Artes and at Fondo de Cultura Económica.

Julieta has contributed to newspapers and magazines in Argentina for many years. She has also been a member of the Art and Education Board of the Ministry of Education. Furthermore, she has participated in judging panels for several international photography awards, including the Salón Nacional de Artes Visuales, the Bienal de Fotografía Documental in Argentina, Fotoperiodismo por la Paz in Ecuador, Premio Ediciones CdF in Uruguay, Poy Latam in Latin America, Premio El Ojo Salvaje in Paraguay, the World Press Photo Contest in the Netherlands, and the Festival Internacional de Fotografía de Valparaíso in Chile. She was also a nominator for the 2019 Joop Swart Masterclass.

Julieta graduated from the National Film School (INCAA) in Buenos Aires.
