Palestine

Saher Alghorra is a Palestinian photojournalist documenting life and conflict in Gaza.

He studied public relations, media and photography at the University of Palestine and began photographing in 2017 after receiving his first camera from his father. Initially, his work focused on everyday life in Gaza City.

As the war reshaped Gaza, his focus shifted to bearing witness to destruction, resilience, and survival, using his photography to convey the realities on the ground to a global audience.

Since 2021, Alghorra’s photographs have been published in international outlets including The Associated Press, Die Zeit, The Guardian and Time. In 2025, he began contributing regularly to The New York Times.
