Date: 17 April

Making, publishing, and seeing visual stories depends upon a series of freedoms – freedom of expression, freedom of inquiry, and freedom of the press. Protests, in any forms, are often indicative of these freedoms being under pressure. In this session, three 2021 World Press Photo Contests winners reporting on protests will talk about the tension field between press freedom and protests.

Moderated by Aldith Hunkar, multimedia journalist.
