Noelle Théard

Noelle Théard is a photographer and educator who has been the senior photo editor at The New Yorker since 2021, where she is also the producer for Photo Booth, the magazine’s photography column. Her work focuses on social justice, community engagement, and the intersection of education and visual storytelling.

Noelle is also part-time faculty in the BFA photography program at Parsons and co-founded FotoKonbit, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Haitians to tell their own stories through photography. 

She founded the photography program at Miami's Museum of Contemporary Art and served as the discipline coordinator for the YoungArts program for three years. Noelle was a Program Officer at Magnum Foundation (2016–2021), taught African Diaspora and Art History at Florida International University (2010–2021), and worked as a contract photographer for the Miami Herald (2003–2009).
