Adrees Latif

Adrees Latif is a Pakistani-American photojournalist and editor with a career spanning over three decades of covering news, sports, conflict, natural disasters, and long-term projects. He is currently based in his hometown of Houston, working as enterprise editor at Reuters Pictures.

Adrees started his professional career at age 16, freelancing for the Suburbia Reporter and the Houston Chronicle. A graduate of the University of Houston, he joined Reuters in 1995 after interning with UPI, the Miami Herald, Baltimore Sun and worked as an intern and staff photographer at the Houston Post. In his three decades with Reuters, Adrees has been based in Houston, Los Angeles, Bangkok, Islamabad, and New York. 

Adrees Latif is the recipient of the 2008 and 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Photography. Some of his other accolades include POY.org's Photographer of the Year (Freelance-Agency) and the International Center for Photography's Infinity Award. As an editor, Adrees has curated and edited every Pulitzer Prize the Reuters Pictures team has been awarded to date.
