Douraïd Souissi was born and raised in Tunis, Tunisia. He first became interested in photography while he was studying in the United States where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in international finance and a master's in philosophy. After briefly working in IT, he began to pursue photography professionally in 2007.
He is now based in Tunis and works in different parts of the world, though mostly in Africa and the Middle East. His work has been featured in many exhibitions including the Voies Off in Arles. He is currently preparing his second personal exhibition.
