Reem Maged


Reem Maged is a journalist and has been the host of "Baladna Belmasry," an Egyptian daily talk show on ONtv, since 2009. She studied media and mass communication at Cairo University prior to starting her career at Nile TV, the Egyptian state television channel, as news editor, reporter and anchor in 1995.

In 2007, Maged switched focus to the field of documentaries, working with Hotspot Films production house as producer, director and presenter. She worked on documentaries such as "Atfal al Mahjar" (“Children of Arab Immigration”) and "Wejhat Nazar" ("Point of View”), which aired on Al Jezeera News and Al Jazeera Children.

Her talk show hosts a wide range of guests from all over the Egyptian political, ideological and cultural spectrum. It was one of the first talk shows in Egypt to deal with sensitive issues such as virginity testing and military trials for civilians, and featured the first political debate in Egyptian television history.

Maged also works as a media trainer for ONA Academy since 2012.
