Chris Boot

Chris Boot has been executive director of Aperture Foundation since 2011. Previously, he was director of London’s Photo Co-Op (since renamed Photofusion), an independent photography education center, as well as Director of Magnum Photos, first in London (1984-1990), then in New York (1990-98).
Additionally, he launched his own photo book publishing company, Chris Boot Ltd., in 2001, where his books included ICP award-winners Lodz Ghetto Album (2004) and Things as They Are: Photojournalism in Context Since 1955 (2005).
