Contribution terms and conditions

DEFINITIONS

Contribution: any asset, including any monetary amount, gifted to the World Press Photo Foundation, by means of electronic authorisation through the website of World Press Photo or otherwise.

Contributor: a natural or legal person who contributes, has contributed or will make a contribution to the World Press Photo Foundation.

Purpose: the World Press Photo Foundation is committed to connect the world to the stories that matter.

The World Press Photo Foundation: A foundation (stichting) established under the laws of the Netherlands with its seat in Amsterdam and registered office at Haarlemmerweg 4, 1014 BE Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce number: 41199738.

World Press Photo holds the CBF quality mark for charities and is qualified by the Netherlands tax office as an ANBI (Public Benefit Organisation).

APPLICABILITY

These General Terms and Conditions apply to every contribution. By making a contribution, the contributor agrees with these Terms and Conditions. The World Press Photo Foundation reserves the right to change the contribution terms and conditions in the interim. The World Press Photo Foundation uses the personal data of each contributor to process its contribution.

CONTRIBUTIONS

A contribution is irrevocable. By making a contribution, a contributor agrees that World Press Photo and any and all (future) subsidiaries and/or affiliates of the World Press Photo Foundation are entitled to use a contribution at their own discretion, within the scope of the goal and the articles of association of the World Press Photo Foundation.

PRIVACY

The World Press Photo Foundation processes the personal data provided by the donor in accordance with all applicable legal requirements, including in particular the rules pursuant to or under the Personal Data Protection Act. These personal data are processed by the World Press Photo Foundation for the purpose of settling contributions as meant in these conditions, for carrying out marketing activities as far as related to the World Press Photo Foundation’s mission and vision, as well as to enable it to comply with legal obligations. FINAL PROVISIONS

The district court of Amsterdam has exclusive jurisdiction to judge all disputes which arise between the World Press Photo Foundation and a contributor concerning a contribution. Dutch law applies to a contribution and these general terms and conditions.
