A Rwandan Hutu refugee boy, who fled his country during the 1994 Rwandan Genocide and who has lost his family, is photographed in Kibumba Camp, Zaire, in the hope of being recognized and found by his relatives. From April to July 1994 some one-and-a-half million Rwandans fled their country. In the confusion, 27,000 children were separated from their families. Aid organizations came up with the idea of photographing them in mobile studios and organizing exhibitions to facilitate their identification.
