At a brick works, Ganesh (8, in the red pullover) carries bricks to and from the kiln. His load weighs 12 kilos, more than three tons in a working day. Besides work, bricks provide shelter as well, protecting against the burning sun while eating and sleeping. Although India has a law against child labor, poverty forces many families to send their sons out to work.
