Under a Cracked Sky is part of The Antarctica Series — four virtual-reality films from The New York Times about science on the least understood continent. The film was narrated and photographed by two divers at McMurdo Station, Antarctica, who conduct research in some of the clearest and coldest water on Earth.
The film was produced with logistical support from the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Antarctic Program.
