At 2pm a tornado swirls through downtown. Thousands of people in the metropolitan area witnessed the storm, which had been forecast by the National Weather Office more than 24 hours before. The tornado, which developed southwest of the city and cut a swath of up to 135m wide, did not cause significant damage.
