James Brady, President Ronald Reagan's press secretary lies wounded outside a hotel after being shot. Secret service agents and police wrestle the alleged gunman John Warnock Hinckley Jr. to the ground. In the attempted assassination, six shots were fired at President Reagan, who was hit in the chest.
