Hundreds of male patients wander aimlessly around the neglected forecourt during their morning excercise. They are, however, better off than those abandoned to their own devices in the men's closed ward.

The men's clinic was the residence of Mussolini during the Italian occupation of Greece. Psychiatric patients like the 1,300 living on the island of Leros often live in degrading conditions.
