Hachim (20) from Afghanistan, entered Greece illegally and has spent two months in the port, attempting unsuccessfully to cross to Italy. Increasing numbers of migrants made their way to Greece from Iraq and Afghanistan via Turkey. Greece grants asylum to only a tiny proportion of applicants, so many attempt to leave for other parts of the European Union.
