Sister Jessica (11) on the cello and brother Daniel (13) also on violin, join Pierre playing in the subway station of the Grand Central terminal to raise money to attend a summer music camp. Violinist Pierre Constant (14) is the first African-American to receive a scholarship from the pre-college division at the Juilliard School of music. He is also already in his second year at the New York City Technical College. In between studies he manages five hours' rehearsal a day. Pierre is the oldest of three musicians in the Constant family.
