Icelandic singer Björk Guðmundsdóttir, known to fans worldwide simply as Björk, was born in 1965, and made her first album at the age of 11. After voyaging through Icelandic New Wave and anarcho-punk, she established herself firmly on the international map with her own quirky, eclectic brand of music.
